She is Migi to her grands and keeper of the goobers, her basset hounds. Grandkids are about the greatest thing the Lord has ever created. While parenting is what you do while you are doing everything else, grandparenting is what you get to do instead of everything else. Her occupation is public policy; her vocation is mentoring young people in the principles of policy and character; her passion is truth, spiritual and intellectual. Wife of 53 years, mom to three, and Migi to the grands, she writes from her study in Austin, Texas, usually with a basset hound in the middle of the floor.
